Stuttgart, 30 January 2009. The Supervisory Board of Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, Stuttgart, was re-constituted this Friday. In the session of the Supervisory Board following the Annual General Meeting of the company, the Board unanimously re-appointed Dr. Wolfgang Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ as its Chairman and Uwe Hück as his Deputy.
Prior to the session of the Supervisory Board the representatives of the shareholders on the Supervisory Board had been re-elected unanimously in the Annual General Meeting of Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ for a full term of five years. Apart from Dr. Wolfgang Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, the shareholders' representatives are
Dr. Ferdinand Oliver Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, Hans-Peter Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, Dr. Ferdinand K. Piëch, Dr. Hans Michel Piëch, and
Prof. Dr. Ulrich Lehner.
There were changes in membership among the representatives of the employees. With Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ increasing its share in VW in September 2008 to more than 35 per cent of the voting rights, the Wolfsburg car maker has become part of the Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ SE Group. Hence, a new, joint SE Works Council was elected in December 2008, which appointed the representatives of the employees on the Supervisory Board of Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ on 27 January 2009. The new members of the Supervisory Board are Bernd Osterloh, Chairman of the Overall and Group Works Council of Volkswagen AG and Chairman of the Works Council of Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, Peter Mosch, Chairman of the Overall Works Council of Audi AG, and Berthold Huber, Chairman of IG Metall, the German Metalworkers' Union.
Uwe Hück, Chairman of the Group Works Council of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ AG and Deputy Chairman of the Works Council of Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ, Werner Weresch, member of the Works Council of
Dr. Ing h.c. F. Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ AG, and Hans Baur, First General Representative of IG Metall Stuttgart, were
re-appointed in their positions on the Supervisory Board. In today's session, the Supervisory Board furthermore appointed Dr. Hans Michel Piëch as the representative of shareholders and Bernd Osterloh as the representative of employees on the Presiding Body of the Supervisory Board of Âé¶¹ÂãÁÄ.
